Vaassen - Schaeffler Smart Maintenance Tools, formerly Bega Special Tools, founded in 1978, is an internationally operating company. We are a manufacturer and distributor of special tools with our own brand name BETEX®. These maintenance tools are used for safe, cost-effective assembly and disassembly of bearings and drive components.
Since August 2021, Bega has been part of Schaeffler. As “Smart Maintenance Tools” we are part of the Schaeffler Lifetime Solutions division (formerly Industry 4.0).
In November 2024, Bega International BV was renamed Schaeffler Smart Maintenance Tools BV.
The tools are used in production and maintenance departments in MRO and OEM companies. Schaeffler Smart Maintenance Tools exports through a network of distributors and supplies all types of industries. Due to our specialization, we supply (customized) solutions, for example, in the wind, rail, mining and steel industries.
Mission & Vision
Our mission is to facilitate safe and efficient work, without damage to machines or drive components. We believe that the service life of rotating machine components in maintenance and production environments can be extended. To this end, we develop and distribute tools for industry.
Monitoring, assembly and disassembly are an inseparable whole for which we offer a total solution. Our tools contribute to personal safety in the workplace. Through innovation, we want to be future-oriented and able to respond to the needs of our customers.
