A Look Back at the BearingConvention 2026

A Look Back at the BearingConvention 2026

From March 18–20, the BearingNet Convention 2026 took place in Warsaw, Poland - the premier international gathering for suppliers, distributors, and specialists in the bearing industry. Once again this year, the event proved to be a valuable opportunity to strengthen existing relationships and establish new contacts.

Patrick and Joep represented us at the event. They spent three days networking extensively and actively promoting our Smart Maintenance Tools.

In addition to numerous discussions with various parties, Patrick and Joep returned with new insights, opportunities, and ideas for the future. In short, it was a highly successful edition of BearingNet, where our Smart Maintenance solutions were firmly in the spotlight!

The latest BETEX induction generator 3.1

The latest BETEX induction generator 3.1

We are proud to introduce the latest innovation in our range: the BETEX MF-GENERATOR3.1-series. These medium-frequency generators are the direct successors to our successful 3.0 series and have been further developed with following goals in mind: more control, more precision, and greater ease of use when heating metal workpieces.

Why a new generation? Because the industry is changing—and we are changing with it. There is a need for more flexibility and smart functionalities. The MF-GENERATOR3.1 offers exactly that.

What are the most important features?

  • Sequence mode: for complex applications—heat step by step to a target temperature, pause, and complete the heating in a controlled manner.
  • Controlled cooling: in addition to heating, you can now cool workpieces in a controlled manner using an adjustable temperature-time profile.
  • Smart inductor recognition: automatic process with parameter settings for optimal performance in series production.
  • 7" touchscreen: intuitive operation with direct access to all settings.
  • Logging & USB export: save heating data in CSV or PDF format.
  • Network functionality (optional): connect up to 10 generators for large-scale applications.

Applications

The MF-GENERATOR3.1 is suitable for mounting and dismounting bearing rings, bushings, couplings, and other ferrous metals such as steel, stainless steel, titanium, and bronze alloys.

Compatibility

Good news: the MF-GENERATOR3.1 is fully compatible with your existing BETEX inductors and accessories.

Flexible or fixed inductors

Suitable inductors are required for use with the generator. Heating the workpiece is not possible without a connected fixed or flexible inductor. Please contact us for advice on which inductor is suitable for your application.

End inefficient dismounting of inner bearings

End inefficient dismounting of inner bearings

We regularly receive interesting requests, but recently we received one that we would like to share with you. This customer was looking for a solution to disassemble the inner ring of a bearing without causing damage to the crankshaft. After targeted testing we determined the perfect solution for this problem. This was the BETEX MF Quick-Heater 3.0 22kW. Read about this case study down below.

Proving the best solution

A recent project involved a manufacturer of pellet presses. For maintenance work, they disassemble the spherical roller bearings of a crankshaft. Normally, they disassemble the outer ring with cage first and then cut the inner ring with an angle grinder. Because of the placement of the bearing, it was not possible to disassemble it with a puller. At the customer’s request we performed tests with a BETEX MF Quick-Heater 22kW, with a flexible inductor. Within 1 minute, the inner ring was heated to 150°C and could be pushed off the shaft without any extra force. The customer was so pleased that they sent us other parts to test, all of which were carried out successfully. The time savings were amazing and with no damage to the shaft!

The heater had proved its versatility so the decision to purchase it was quickly made. The dirty, noisy and dangerous work of grinding off the rings is now history, much to the delight of the workers who were responsible for doing this. Also, collateral damage to the shafts is now a thing of the past.

The MF Quick-Heater 3.0 22kW

Thanks to medium-frequency technology, energy is transferred to the workpiece effectively, so it is heated faster and safer than with convetional methods. The MF Quick-Heater consists of a generator with a fixed or flexible inductor. Due to their low weight and compact dimensions, the systems can be used mobile and flexible even in hard-to-reach places. One of the major advantages of this type of induction heater is that they are not limited to cylindrical shaped components: flexible inductors can be wrapped in or around any size or shape. They are even suitable for large and heavy components.

Heating bearings with the BETEX SLF series

Heating bearings with the BETEX SLF series

Precise bearing heating for the purpose of correct mounting and a heating process which is properly controlled. Things that “simply” have to be in place. The assembly and disassembly of bearings happens daily. The “classic” and still widely used methods such as an oven, heating plate, burner, open fire and oil bath are still applied on a daily basis. Obviously, these are not efficient and certainly not bearing-friendly.

If we take a more critical look at one of those classic methods, in this case open fire, there is a very good chance that the bearing will get too hot. These high temperatures will change the structure of the bearing, or the grease inside the bearing will burn. Damage to the bearing is thus caused before it is even assembled! The solution for this is heating by using the right induction device. This ensures controlled heating to the set temperature that will maintain the condition of the bearings.

Measuring temperature difference

With the BETEX SLF heater (Smart Low Frequency) you can heat bearings very precisely and in a controlled manner. This is because it features a Delta-T (ΔT) function. Thanks to this function, it is possible to use 2 temperature sensors to measure the temperature on the inside and outside of a workpiece. In this way, the maximum set temperature difference between 2 points can never be exceeded. As a result, you achieve even and uniform heating and avoid material stress.

On the job with the SLF

Picture this... A bearing has broken down in a paper mill and needs to be replaced. Using the SLF, you have heated the new bearing to the correct specifications in a controlled manner after which it can be mounted. Later, the customer asks for proof that the bearing was heated correctly. The log function allows you to display a graph showing the temperature build-up. You can always trace how long and to what temperature a (critical) bearing has been heated!

How to export the log data?

To create a log file, simply enter your name and the description of the workpiece. The logged data can then be exported to a USB flash drive with 1 press of the screen after the heating process.
